Aaaahh-laska … my new home! It’s been a wonderful first week in Port Alsworth.
I’m quickly adjusting to a new way of life and loving every minute of it. I’m not sure why I ever thought twice about coming here, it all ready seems so perfect in so many ways. So much like home. My stress is GONE and I’m learning to redefine productivity. I feel so much more alive being surrounded by such beauty, creating your own fun, being with people, and away from technology.
Living with the Davis family is also going to bring me so much joy and blessing this summer! It’s a new thing to live with 5 boys under 10-years-old and all that goes with keeping up with them. But I just love them and the energy they bring to life! I also have much to learn from Michelle & Jeremy! I hope I can bless them this summer because I know they all ready have brought so much to my life.
One night we went across the lake for a BBQ and the sun broke through. It was a perfect night. The water was like glass!
Last weekend, Sherry and I kayaked to a nearby island. I called it Hydra Island…from Lost. But really it’s called Tommy Island. Boring. We later found out that it was a 10 mile round trip kayak. Not too shabby! Sadly, I dropped my camera in the water promptly when we got to the island…so I’m pictureless for a while! Tragic.

Great pictures. Glad you are having a great summer!
